We are excited to announce that CH Friend School's kindergarten through third graders will be using UFLI ( University of Florida Literacy Initiative) Foundations Reading Program. Better known as "You Fly". This program is an explicit and systematic approach to teaching phonics. It follows a scope and sequence designed to ensure that students systematically acquire each skill needed and learn how to apply each skill with automaticity and confidence. This program has been adopted by the top rated schools across the country and we are excited to be a participating school.

As our students move into late elementary our curriculum transitions into traditional instructor led. Our students are individually assessed to ensure each child not only is challenged in their strong subjects but is also receiving the one on one education needed in the subjects they need additional assistance with.  We strongly believe that by focusing on the needs of the child we ensure life long learners.

As our students move into Middle School and High School our curriculum is purely instructor led. Our students are individually assessed to insure each child not only is challenged in their strong subjects but is also receiving the one on one education needed in the subjects they need additional assistance with.  As our students reach their Junior and Senior year of high school, all students are required to either participate in the CTA (Career Tech Academy) courses at the community college level or take at least one Dual Enrollment course per semester. C.H. Friend School offers three different diploma plans to ensure each student is poised for success.  We offer a general diploma plan, college prep diploma plan and the honors diploma plan. Each student is individually assessed to ensure the correct placement in all classes. We strongly believe that by providing both technical and college level courses at the high school level we set our students up for success.
